Experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis a plus.
Must be comfortable approaching guests for interviews and questionnaires; be able to stand and move quickly through the public areas of the building, including stairs, for several hours.

Experience conducting literature searches and writing literature reviews and/or annotated bibliographies.
Minimum GPA: 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Desired Year in School: Advanced upper-level undergraduate students and first-year graduate students.
Compensation: Unpaid. Interns must make arrangements with their schools to gain academic credit for this internship. Shedd Aquarium is happy to provide any work documentation necessary for this process.
Desired Majors: This is a great opportunity for upper-level undergraduate students or graduate students who are interested in the following disciplines: museum studies, sociology, psychology, anthropology, marketing, education, or biological sciences.
Time Commitment: Two to three days a week (Monday through Friday) preferred. The schedule can be flexed to take into account the student’s schedule (i.e. class schedule, vacations and personal time). Some weekend hours may be required for special projects. For training purposes, Wednesday availability is preferred.
Learning Potential: Interns will learn about and participate in all aspects of the Audience Research and Evaluation department. Interns will be involved in the entire research and evaluation process from start to finish: evaluation planning, instrument development and implementation, analysis, reporting and presentation creation and dissemination to others.
