Virtual Field Trips: Live from Behind the Scenes

Take your grade K-8 students behind the scenes into Shedd’s animal hospital, shark or penguin habitats—without leaving your school! Through our new Live from Behind the Scenes program, Shedd experts, from trainers to veterinarians, and animals will make a virtual visit to your classroom for a live 50-minute interactive experience. The minimum equipment you will need for this connection is a computer connected to the internet, webcam and/or microphone, and equipment to project the computer onto a large screen for the whole class to see. Each session is unique because it is happening in real time as Shedd’s experts do their daily work — with your students alongside them. Each program includes in-class activities such as identifying animals from X-rays and designing shark identification tags, and Q&A with a member of the animal care team. See program pricing on the right side of this page, and sign up here today!
