Learning with Shedd is an active member of Hive Chicago, a network of civic and cultural institution dedicated to transforming the learning landscape by creating opportunities for youth to explore their interest through connected learning experiences.
Shedd is working with the Hurvis Center to test the use of consumer technologies to help facilitate learning experiences in zoos and aquaria.
Shedd is one of two cultural organizations from Illinois partnering with ISTC in the pilot phase of the development of the R&D STEM Learning Exchange.
Shedd hosts the MATE Midwest regional competition as a part of our Underwater Robotics program for middle and high school aged students. Regional winners are eligible to participate in the international competition.
Shedd Aquarium has partnered with National Louis University to bring students participating in the Great Lakes Badging experience an opportunity to earn one semester hour of graduate credit. To receive credit, students must complete their badging requirements during an NLU academic term. Please refer to NLU’s academic calendar for term start and end dates.
