  • Nearly 100 Volunteers at 12th Street Beach

    Nearly 100 volunteers from ArcelorMittal and Greencorps Chicago scoured the beach on August 13 for debris washed up on shore or left behind. You might be surprised what they found.

    The first weeks of a beluga calf’s life are marked by a series of milestones: swimming to the surface for its first breath; bonding with its mother; learning to slipstream alongside her; figuring out how to nurse; gaining weight and thriving. The mark of success is a first birthday celebration.
