Working with the director of individual gifts, assists in the development of the annual strategic plan for the ladder of individual giving, including membership, annual fund and the Aquarium Council program. Implements annual giving appeals, $250+ renewals, special gift campaigns and year-end solicitations. Assists with donor cultivation and stewardship activities including tours, recognition and benefit fulfillment for annual donors of $250 and more. Manages gift booking and acknowledgment process for individual gifts of $250+. Coordinate and implement all stewardship events for the $250+ donor base along with the special events team. Assists membership manager with back-end fulfillment of membership cards and monthly renewal data. Assists membership manager with member events. Other duties as assigned by the director of individual gifts and supports other areas of the department as needed.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 1-3 years experience in development, preferably at a major institution with experience in the annual fund and/or membership programs. Special knowledge and skills: Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of the strategic-planning process, volunteer supervision experience. Proven track record in budget management. Competent in Microsoft Word/Excel. Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge fundraising software highly desirable. Ability to work with people in all stations of life (including trustees, corporate leaders, major donors, support staff, etc.). Detail-oriented. Ability to make decisions under pressure and independently. Ability to multi-task and keep strict deadlines. Occasional evening and/or weekend hours required.
