5. Try to use both sides of a sheet of paper.
6. Encourage your school to recycle.
7. Take your lunch to school in reusable containers instead of in plastic bags, foil, or plastic wrap.
8. Turn off the television, computer, video games and CD player when you’re not using them.
9. Take a short shower instead of a long leisurely bath. (And why not ask Mom and Dad for a low-flow shower head for your next birthday?)
10. Plant an organic vegetable garden.
11. Take out books from the library instead of buying new ones all the time.
12. Volunteer at your community’s recycling center or help with a local clean-up effort.
13. Let everyone in your family know what you’re doing and get them with the program!
