Do you believe in dragons? You just might after meeting the Komodo.

The world’s largest lizard is making a first-time appearance in Chicago. And he’s not alone. Meet all his scaly cousins — from the tiny day gecko to the world's longest lizard, the crocodile monitor, and every basilisk, chameleon and skink in between.

"Lizards and the Komodo King" is sponsored by Motorola and the Motorola Foundation.

LIZARD AND KOMODO FAST FACTS
• A hungry Komodo dragon can wolf down prey equal to 80 percent of its body weight. That’s like a 150-pound person cramming down 120 pounds of hamburgers in one sitting.

• Lean and lithe, the 12-foot crocodile monitor hangs out in trees.

• Insect-munching Tokay geckos are welcome additions to many tropical households in Southeast Asia.
