Family Workshop: Upcycled Art

Animals thrive in clean, healthy environments. Learn more about what animals need, explore healthy habitats and keep trash out of the environment by creating an upcycled art project.

Who can attend:

This program is offered for families with children ages 3 and up.

What is included:

A two-hour program that includes learning about animals through hands-on activities, animal encounters and/or time in Shedd Aquarium’s exhibit spaces. Each program includes a guided art lesson that allows the whole family to create a work of art inspired by nature.

What is not included:

• Meals and snacks are not included.
• General admission to the aquarium; admission can be purchased online or on site.

Accessibility:

Program includes:
• Use of stairs; elevators are available
• Walking and standing for up to 1 hour
• Sitting on the floor for activities; chairs and tables are available
• Moving around the aquarium, which has varying light, noise and temperature levels
