Aquarium Adventure Kids: Do Animals Lose Teeth Too?

Row upon row of sharp, slicing teeth. A circle of five beaklike teeth that scrape the seafloor. From sharks to sea urchins, different animals have specialized teeth for the job of eating. Become a dental detective and see what you can learn about an animal just from its teeth!

Who can attend:

Participants must be enrolled in K to 5th grade on the program date.

What is included:

Three hours of hands-on science activities, animal encounters and habitat exploration at Shedd Aquarium.

What is not included:

  • Admission to Shedd Aquarium is not included in the program fee.
  • Meals and snacks are not included.

Drop-off and pick-up:

Please arrive and depart at the bus turnaround on the south side of Shedd Aquarium. Drop-off takes place from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Pick-up is at noon.

Accessibility:

Program includes:

  • Use of stairs; elevators are available
  • Walking and standing for up to 1 hour
  • Sitting on the floor for activities; chairs and tables are available
  • Moving around the aquarium, which has varying light, noise and temperature levels
