Great Lakes Invaders
What might happen when an invasive animal starts feeding in the Great Lakes ecosystem? Students will closely examine the organisms that make up an aquatic food chain in the Great Lakes. With a deepened background on food chains, they will predict and analyze how an invasive species might affect the energy flow in a lake ecosystem. Students will collect data from a population simulation and can bring it back to the classroom for analysis to determine if their predictions are correct.
