Lillie Moreno oversees Shedd Aquarium’s financial planning, budgeting, strategic management and allocation of Shedd’s financial resources.

Lillie Moreno leads Shedd Aquarium’s long-range financial planning as well as evaluating the adequacy and efficiency of business planning processes across the building, including the aquarium’s operating plan, strategic plan and capital plans. Moreno also measures and assesses the financial and operating performance of departments at the aquarium against their respective budgets. Moreno is responsible for synthesizing Shedd’s financial performance and modeling to develop regular financial performance reports and forecasts to share with the aquarium’s leadership team, finance committee and Board of Trustees.
Moreno and her team make recommendations on investments based on the aquarium’s needs, ensure the renewal of Shedd’s lines of insurance coverage and grant reports and oversee financing for long-term capital projects. Prior to joining Shedd in 2017, Moreno served as the Director of Finance at Banking Administration Institute – a nonprofit that provides research and thought leadership to the finance industry.
Moreno holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Miami University of Ohio.
