Our son by nature keeps to himself - a little bit of an introvert. We were a touch worried about his first solo journey away from home given some of his challenges that stem from Autism. The Shedd staff and Wilderness Inquiry took the time to understand our concerns and worked with us to make sure our son was properly prepared. The trip showed him that new experiences can be exciting and lead to new relationships."

I found myself stepping out of my comfort zone as I had never camped in the wilderness or kayaked before. I would also add this was my first solo trip and I found that strangers quickly became friends, some of which will be lifetime friends.”
