Adler Planetarium

Explore the universe with the Adler Planetarium this fall! Adler After Dark offers adults (21+) full access to the museum, unlimited shows and out-of-this-world entertainment. With upcoming themes like Adler Afraid of the Dark (Oct. 19), Adler After Dark Ages (Nov. 16), and Spacecation (Dec. 21), Adler After Dark is never the same event twice!

Field Museum

This winter at the Field Museum, become enchanted by ancient civilizations at Ancient Mediterranean Cultures in Contact. Experience more than the parking garage — take a short walk west on McFetridge Drive to check out the Doughboy Statue and Veteran’s Memorial water wall. 

FirstMerit Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island

Formerly known as “Charter One Pavilion”, this seasonal concert hall is one of the city’s newest spots to catch an outdoor concert. Though it may be intimate in size (it seats only 8,000), the atmosphere and skyline views are anything but small.

Grant Park

Stroll under Lake Shore Drive and into Grant Park, with spectacular gardens and the world-famous Buckingham Fountain.

Take a different approach to Shedd — take a water taxi! Shoreline Sightseeing water taxis run between Navy Pier and the Museum Campus dock, at lake level on the north side of Shedd.
