Tracking Fish Migration: From Streams to Seas
From massive whales to delicate butterflies, many animals undertake remarkable migrations across the world.
Join us to explore the fascinating migrations of animals across freshwater and saltwater habitats – with direct NGSS connections. This workshop will spotlight the diverse reasons why animals migrate and the seasonal changes driving these movements. Plus, learn about the challenges faced by migratory fishes in our own backyard, the Great Lakes. Shedd researchers will share insights on how the animals they study are impacted during their migratory journeys.
You’ll learn how to incorporate science databases, live cameras, community science resources, nature observations and interactive maps into your classroom.
