Accessibility

At Shedd Aquarium, we believe there should be no boundaries to your experience.

Where to park
The small parking lot between Shedd and the Field Museum, as well as the Soldier Field parking garage, offer reserved accessible parking. If you’re driving and would like to drop off a passenger, our bus turnaround will get you closest to the sidewalk-level accessible entrance.

Where to enter
Our accessible entrance is located on the southwest side of the aquarium (look for the statue pictured above!).

Once you’re inside
Wheelchairs are available for checkout on a first-come, first-served basis with appropriate identification and a credit card.

Shedd can also arrange for a sign language interpreter at no additional charge for guests with a hearing impairment.
