Due to high demand, Shedd Aquarium adds two more weeks of its new virtual summer camp program in August. Within the past five weeks, the camp has virtually brought learners across the country and around the world to the Chicago aquarium to explore all aspects of aquatic life, including an up-close look at animals at Shedd in their habitats on exhibit or behind-the-scenes. This two-week addition will include explorations where campers will participate in hands-on activities, games, crafts, and more alongside the aquatic world.
The camp for K-2 grades are invited to discover with Wellington a new animal each day like sharks, dolphins and penguins. While 3-5 graders join Wellington on his adventures to visit a new habitat each day, including the Artic, coral reefs and kelp forests. Each session will be facilitated by two Shedd learning team members who have experience engaging learners in virtual settings.
Don’t miss your chance to experience the aquatic world in a whole new way through the camp that parents describe as, “… absolutely phenomenal and the kids cite this experience as their favorite byproduct of the quarantine. Thank you to your dedicated, enthusiastic and skilled staff for a wonderful week!”
