The Penguins have their "Tuxes" on for the Second Annual Great Penguin Party at Shedd Aquarium

On Friday, May 12, The Great Penguin Party is returning to Shedd Aquarium for a rip-roaring evening with live entertainment, dance lessons and, of course, penguins. This after-hours adults-only celebration brings together hundreds of animal enthusiasts who will come together to waddle, dance and swing with the penguins. Guests will come face-to-face with penguins and other aquatic life and swing by for a dance lesson and enjoy the Alan Gresik Swing Orchestra, a 12-piece orchestra that’s been performing at the historic Green Mill for two decades!

Guests enjoy exclusive entertainment, light bites and open-access to wine and beer at the bar at this adults-only, after hours party with a purpose. Tickets for this event support Shedd’s mission to spark compassion, curiosity and conservation for the aquatic animal world. Hear first-hand about some of this mission-driven work to help Magellanic penguin populations in the wild from Shedd’s caretakers at the event as well or engage in a penguin chat to learn about the care and adaptations of the colony at the aquarium.

While the penguins will be in their “tuxes” as always, guests are encouraged to dress how they like!
