Internships

Work. Study. Do both, assisting with animal care or in a variety of other positions, as a Shedd Aquarium intern.

You’ll learn from the pros. Our internships offer specific, in-depth experiences to college students interested in aquarium-related careers. Duration varies with the program, and preference is given to students currently enrolled in a degree program. We do require that applicants for Animal Care Internships be at least 18 years old.

Internships are unpaid. Some schools may offer credit for academic programs.

For all other internships, you may apply online.

• A resume outlining your academic and professional experience
• Three (3) references we may contact
• Two (2) letters of recommendation

Application Deadlines

Spring 2019 Internship Applications are due by December 20, 2018.

Summer 2019 Internship Applications will go live by the end of 2018 and be due by March 2019.
