Come dressed in your creepiest, kookiest costumes and dance the night away to spine-tingling sets by Chicago’s own Dee Jay Alicia and DJ Lori Branch. Enjoy eerie eats, good vibes and plenty of surprises! Grab your ghouls and let’s conjure up a night to remember!

The event includes all exhibits, touch experiences and entertainment. Some exhibits may close early due to animal care needs, and lights in certain habitats will be dimmed to create a natural nighttime environment for the animals. Wild Reef closes at 9 p.m. Oceanarium and Amazon Rising close at 10 p.m. Please refer to event signage for more information.

Dee Jay Alicia (often stylized as DJ Alicia) is a Chicago-based DJ, producer, and influential figure in the house music scene. She is known for her deep, soulful and classic house sets, which reflect the rich musical heritage of Chicago — the birthplace of house music. She is celebrated for her smooth mixing, thoughtful track selection and energetic performances. Dee Jay Alicia is recognized for carrying the legacy of Chicago house while adding her unique, contemporary flavor. She has played alongside and been supported by many legends of the house music scene in Chicago and throughout the U.S. She's also known for being active in the community, mentoring emerging DJs and advocating for diversity and inclusion in dance music. Her musical releases can be found on Bandcamp, Traxsource, Beatport and other musical outlets.
DJ Lori Branch is a Chicago native and recognized as a pioneer DJ in Chicago's house music scene. Lori has held numerous DJ residencies across Chicago and is featured in several documentaries, articles and television specials. She currently hosts the Vintage House radio program/podcast on WNUR 89.3FM Evanston Chicago and is a member of the Good Girls DJ collective. As a house music enthusiast and historian, Lori has interviewed numerous local, national and international artists critical to the story of Chicago as the birthplace of house music. Lori also co-curates the Chicago Home of House Exhibit.

Yes, costumes are encouraged but must follow Shedd Aquarium’s Visitor Code of Conduct. Additionally, full-face masks and prop weapons of any kind are not permitted.
