New Must See Tour Launches at Shedd Aquarium

Shedd Aquarium has announced a new guided experience, Must See Tour, to explore the aquatic animal world alongside an expert to share the history of the aquarium, insights about the animals, spark curiosity and more. While no two visits to Shedd are ever the same with more than 32,000 animals showcasing incredible behaviors and adaptations differently every day, the best way to make the most of the aquarium is through this new tour. The Must See Tour occurs every day to fit into a guest’s planned visit and expand the trip to dive even deeper.

During the 75-minute tour, guests will experience the best of Shedd and encounter the aquatic animals that call the aquarium home like never before. Explore the iconic Caribbean Reef exhibit and learn more about the rescued green sea turtle Nickel. Sit in the best seats in the house for an Animal Spotlight, and afterward have an exclusive chat with an animal care expert to hear first-hand about what it takes to care for aquatic life at Shedd. Then go behind-the-scenes Wild Reef for an in-depth look at the shark habitat. While these experiences are guaranteed, there is always a chance for even more to spark curiosity on every tour. The Must See Tour is the perfect way to hit all the highlights in just a little over an hour.

The Must See Tour is part of Shedd Aquarium’s Extraordinary Experiences that are meant to bring guests even closer to the mission of the aquarium and inspire wonder for the aquatic world and a desire to protect it. Shedd also offers other onsite Extraordinary Experiences to come face-to-face with penguins, beluga whales, or sharks during animal encounters.

WHEN: Shedd’s Must See tour is available starting March 1. Sessions will happen seven days a week at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., with an additional 3 p.m. tour on select days.

The tour is $75/adult; $65/child; $40/member. Admission to the aquarium is included with the purchase of the tour.
