CHICAGO – Shedd Aquarium announces new members recently elected to its prestigious Board of Trustees including: Rahul Goyal of Molson Coors, Rana Wright of Harris | Oakmark and Peter Pace Jr. of Goldman Sachs. These executives and thought leaders bring their expertise, business acumen, perspectives and communities to an impressive and active board to support and accelerate the aquarium’s mission as well as to help Shedd plan for the future.

“Three new Shedd Aquarium Trustees means three new, bright and powerful advocates for Chicago and for the aquatic animal world,” said David J. Koo, retired senior partner at RoundTable Healthcare Partners and Shedd Aquarium Board Chair. “Our Board and the aquarium will benefit greatly from these new additions, who have generously volunteered their time and talents to guide Shedd as it inches closer to its centennial anniversary and prepares for the next 100 years of service.”

  • Rahul Goyal (elected Dec. 2024) is the President and CEO of Molson Coors Beverage Company, the world’s fourth largest brewer. During his 24-year career with the company, Mr. Goyal has served in various senior leadership positions across strategy, finance and information technology.
  • Rana Jewel Wright (elected Sept. 2025) is the Chief Legal and Administrative Officer at Harris | Oakmark, an organization that manages over $100 billion in global retail and institutional assets. “Our new Trustees have wasted no time getting even more involved as we continue to implement our ambitious Centennial Commitment strategic plan, meant to reinvest in our home, our city and our planet,” said Dr. Bridget Coughlin, president and CEO of Shedd Aquarium. “We are deeply grateful for their dedication.”

The Shedd Aquarium Society Board of Trustees is composed of volunteer corporate, civic and community leaders with the primary responsibility for governance oversight and fiduciary accountability, as outlined in the Society’s bylaws.  The board provides strategic direction for institutional priorities through work in both governance and programmatic committees.
