Calling all teens!
Want to do your part to help our blue planet?
Take action for animals and the environment by participating in our Teen Nature Days! You’ll get to explore local beaches, waterways and forest preserves, while helping to restore and protect them. Join us to connect with nature, engage in conservation and meet new friends!

Participants will meet at
Shedd Aquarium with bus transit to and from the event location. Bussing from is provided at no cost.

Teen Nature Days Registration
To make sure you are registered and ready to attend your Teen Nature Day experience, please make sure you follow these steps:
- Complete the participation agreement linked in your confirmation email from Shedd Aquarium.
- Complete the partner waiver attached to an email from [email protected]. This can be emailed back to us or brought with you the day of your program.
- Check the email with the subject line, ‘Important information for your Teen Nature Day’ for key instructions to make sure you are well prepared.

What to Bring and Wear to Teen Nature Days?
- Signed participation agreement and other waivers, if you have not submitted them electronically
- Wear weather appropriate outdoor clothing and shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty
- You must wear closed-toe shoes
- Bring a facemask just in case—sites we visit may have different regulations than Shedd
- Backpack or drawstring bag (this will be subject to a bag check upon entry)
- Water bottle
- Sunscreen
- Bug spray
- Personal hand sanitizer

Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Participants are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles, hats, sunglasses and sunscreen.

No, participants for Teen Nature Days will use the kayaks provided at the site.

Programs take place rain or shine. Teen Nature Days are subject to cancellation at any point leading up to the program if signs of severe weather are present or predicted.
