Museum Campus parking will be severely limited for the morning and early afternoon. Taking public transportation or parking off campus is highly recommended and may be required.

Who can attend

Participants must be enrolled in K to 5th grade on the program date.

What is included

A day of hands-on science activities, animal encounters and habitat exploration at Shedd Aquarium. Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; aftercare runs from 3 to 5 p.m. Aftercare is complimentary and included in the program fee. During aftercare, campers will have the option to read, create artwork, play games, watch movies, or participate in other free-choice activities.

What is not included

Meals and snacks are not included.

Drop-off and pick-up

Please arrive and depart at the bus turnaround on the south side of Shedd Aquarium. Drop-off takes place from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Pick-up is between 3 and 5 p.m. A penalty will be assessed for late pick-ups.


Program includes:

  • Use of stairs; elevators are available
  • Walking and standing for up to 1 hour
  • Sitting on the floor for activities; chairs and tables are available
  • Moving around the aquarium, which has varying light, noise and temperature levels
